Involvement in the program will enable graduates to be more effective participants in the civic life of the Upland community.
This will be accomplished through a series of sessions in which the participants will:
Learn about various regional, city, educational, and health organizations |
Meet and discuss issues with community leaders |
Learn about opportunities for authentic involvement in community and civic organizations |
Network with other interested community members |
During each session, decision-makers and experts on the topics addressed are invited to share their insights and views. Group discussions give participants the opportunity to express their opinions and interact with experts and each other. Upland Leadership Development is sponsored by Chamber of Commerce.
Nine workshop sessions will be held beginning with a retreat. The remaining sessions will be held in the Upland area. They will begin at 5:00 p.m. with dinner and adjourn at 8:30 p.m.
Tuition includes the Friday night welcome reception dinner and the one day retreat on Saturday, program materials, weekly dinners and graduation. Tuition is non-refundable and must be received prior to retreat session.
