Empowering Our Community

Registration Due By February 15th
Program Begins March 1st

Increase your community awareness and discover how to make a difference. This program gives you the opportunity to meet and work with successful leaders and volunteers. Your involvement in this program will enable you to be a more effective participant in the civic life of the Upland community.

This program begins in March and cost is only $199. It is open to anyone that lives or works in Upland. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

The UCF has partnered with Friends of New H.O.P.E,
which is a ministry that assists in outreach programs
that supply seasonal items every third Friday of each
month at First Lutheran Church in Ontario.

New H.O.P.E. (Homeless Outreach Project and Education)
is based in Ontario, CA.,
and is currently headed by Connie Parra as the Director.

It is an outreach which serves the needy population
who live on the streets of our local community.

It’s founder, Dr. Jane Mercer, began this ministry to
“help better serve individuals and families survive physically,
mentally and emotionally through the trauma of being homeless”.

The church provides a dinner for the needy and a breakfast bag.
Students from the Western University of Health Sciences provide much needed
medical attention to these individuals as well.

Participation in this event may consist of providing a truck
or unique vehicle that can be shared with the public,
sponsorship of the event by donation of funds to be used for this cause,
or simply by being in attendance as a show of support.

will have it's 3rd Annual Fundraiser
at the George M. Gibson Senior Center
250 N. Third Ave., Upland, CA 91786

The cost is $60 per person or $75 which includes 5 Opportunity Drawing Tickets.

There will be a buffet dinner, no host bar, opportunity drawings, silent auction and DJ music.

There will also be a Master Hypnotist and Psychic Readings.
