Scams targeting Chambers of Commerce and their members often involve phishing emails impersonating the chamber or another organization to steal contact lists, personal information, or money. Businesses should also be aware of scams impersonating banks, offering fake directory listings, or using pressure tactics and scare tactics to trick them into sending money. To protect against these scams, do not click on suspicious links, verify any requests directly with the Chamber by using legitimate contact information, and always report suspicious communications to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the FTC.
